Paul Sloboda incorporates a diverse range of skills and experiences into his work as a commercial animation director. Originally a print graphic designer, Paul has moved his way up through the animation industry: from his career start as a cel painter fifteen years ago, to an extensive tenure as technical director for various L.A. commercial animation studios (including ka-chew!), to his five years as a freelance animation director.
Also a highly-skilled comic book illustrator, Paul has built his own distinctive 2D animation style combining detailed character rotoscoping and iconic background environments, as best seen in the opening titles for "Kathy Griffin: My Life On The D-List" and, in 2008, the Sun Tan City "Let Yourself Shine" commercial.
Most recently, Paul has designed a number of large-format titles and graphics for multiple-screen projection at live events, including the Mascot Presentation Event for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver, and the Diageo North America 2007 National Sales Meeting in Las Vegas.
In all areas of his work, Paul brings his extensive technical and artistic experience to providing innovative and practical visual solutions for any commercial project.
